If a picture is worth a thousand words, then our stunning slide show has tales enough for two volumes of Scotchman Stories!
In the last 4 plus years we’ve amassed a photo catalogue of about 14,000 images from various places of the Scotchmans, during different seasons featuring scenery, wild flowers, critters and lots of people. With so many pictures to choose from it’s not too hard to find 70 or 80 that are powerful and inspirational! We’ve put together the most stunning images into a slide presentation and over the years we have shown it to dozens of groups, clubs and organizations.
Audiences are always amazed with the beauty and variety to be found in the Scotchmans. And since not everyone can hike into the back country they appreciate the idea that we can bring a part of the Scotchmans to them. Well, not everyone who would want to has been able to attend one of our Slide presentations.
Now, with YouTube have the answer to that! We’ve converted our slide show into a 6 minute video, set it to music and have it exclusively available on our own Scotchman Peaks YouTube Channel! Check it out today by clicking on the title below. Just make sure you get the popcorn and sodas ready first!

This is an awesome slideshow presentation & one of the photos is even mine by circumstance. I wholeheartedly endorse it. The ironic thing is I have worked in the timber industry since 1973 & often found myself along with my cohorts cussing about those damned environmentalists. I can`t say I agree on everything Phil said on the one hike I have been able to be priveleged enough to go with him on. And it was a priveledge! But I will say that my conversation with Phil Hough on that day was one of the better back & forth conversations that I have ever had. He was patient & knowledgable & always treated me with respect & dignity. Never once did he talk down to me or disrespect my feelings & ideas. If you ever get a chance to go on a Friends of the Scotchman Peaks sponsored hike, I suggest you take up the opportunity the first chance you get. You will find it breathtaking & enlightening. Not to mention just Good for the Soul.
