Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness are pleased to welcome Ann Gassmann to our staff. Ann began work on February 22 as the new Lincoln County Outreach Coordinator. She will be based in Libby.

Ann and her family have been in Libby for two years. Her husband, Nate, works for the Forest Service, and they have two children in Libby schools.

Ann Gassmann was born and raised in Helena, MT. She’s a fourth generation Montanan who is relatively new to this corner of Montana but has lived in most of the rest of Montana’s corners and the state’s many climates and terrains. She is eager to spend time in the outdoors; may it be hiking, running, gardening, or late evening campfires.

Ann keeps busy volunteering at the Libby elementary school, raising golden retrievers, and exploring the surrounding area.  She is looking forward to making a difference, in a small part of our beautiful country, working to preserve the mountains and wilderness that she hopes her children can always enjoy.

Ann is pleased to be Lincoln County Outreach Coordinator, meeting new people, learning the ins-and-outs of the Scotchman Peaks, and share her love of wild places.
