Thank you all for your tireless efforts. I'm beginning to believe that there is no greater gift to bestow in one's lifetime, than the preservation of wilderness and all the life that thrives within it.

Each year the world becomes just a little bit smaller. That is why it's so important to me that Scotchman Peak become a designated Wilderness, protected, and cherished as one of the untouched wild places. Whether you spend time on Scotchman, or admire it from a distance, just knowing it is protected from exploitation, and left as the special place so many in this region love is a just accomplishment for all those who have worked so hard to have it become designated as wilderness.

Thank you,
Cindy Aase

Don't want to mess with your illusions too much, but you might want to think of me as Donald Duck or Yosemite Sam - sort of temper-prone and blundering along the trail. :-)

I love this story! Somehow I have this image in my head of you-as-Elmer-Fudd, tip-toeing along the trail, saying "Shhh! Be vewy, vewy, quiet..."! Inaccurate no doubt, but there it is in my head.

It's always a good idea to have a headlamp and maybe an extra snack bar in your pack when out hiking - you just never know what can happen!
