Event Description:

trackingclass2012 028Join expert tracker and wildlife researcher Brian Baxter of Silver Cloud Associates LLC for a day of identifying animal tracks and learning to “read sign”.  The day will start at 9m with a morning session at the Venture Inn to go over a few handouts and then transition to the field for some “eyes, ears, nose and hands-on” tracking experience.  Plan to be in the field until 3:30pm.

The field portion will explore beautiful northwest Montana forests and wetland habitats, while observing and interpreting tracks, sign, scat, and trails of wildlife.  This is a rain, snow or shine event.  Please come prepared for the day with good winter boots, proper layers, snowshoes if you have them, water, lunch, cameras, and a good sense of humor, as we always have a lot of fun! Children over 10 years of age with a sincere interest are welcome.

Please sign up below for this free field day.
