Directions to Trailhead or Meeting Location:
Meeting Location: Yokes in Ponderay at 8:30am, Clark Fork High School at 9:15am
Hike Description:We will park where the county stops plowing. From there we will follow the road on snowshoes for a couple miles up the lightning creek valley to the Regal Creek trail. After another mile and a steady ascent, we will break for lunch at a spot overlooking the valley.
We will return along the same route. As a bonus we will celebrate Aldo Leopold’s 132nd birthday! Bring your favorite Leopold quote to share.
