From Montana Highway 56, MP 17.5 ± follow Forest Road # 398 west to the Ross Creek Cedars Scenic Area parking lot. Watch for a hard right turn after crossing the creek.

Hike Description:

Take a hike though the giants of Ross Creek, the largest trees in Montana. This out-and-back route follows the grade of Ross Creek for a total elevation gain of 500 feet in 5 miles. Length of hike will be determined by the group. Perfect hike for a warm day, in the shade of huge old-growth trees along a beautiful creek.
