Directions to Trailhead or Meeting Location:

Meet at Hays Chevron in Clark Fork at 8 am PDT.  We will carpool from there to the limited parking area.

Hike Description:

Join us for the 12th annual snowshoe/snowboard/ski to Scotchman Peak, the highest peak in Bonner County and the proposed Scotchman Peaks Wilderness. This will be an extremely difficult trip, especially if parking will be 2+ miles from the trailhead due to impassable snow on the road.  Total elevation gain is 3,700 feet over a course of 4 miles (one way).  The round-trip mileage (with travel to the trailhead) will be around 12 miles.

Bring layered clothing (no cotton!) and be prepared the ANY conditions that mother nature can throw at you. Please bring at least 2 liters of water and plenty of nutritious food. Also recommended: sunscreen, sunglasses, camera and a super attitude.
