Meet at Spar Lake Campground at 9am. At the intersection of Highway 56 and the Revett Troy Mine Road, turn west on the mine road, watching for a small sign on the right pointing to Spar Lake. Follow this road to FS Road #384 (the next intersection). Go left and follow signs to Spar Lake. Email hike leader if you would like to carpool.

Join us for a hike to Spar Peak on trail #324. Plan to be in the woods from 9am ~ 4pm. The day will begin at the far end of Spar Lake, with a steady climb along trail #324. It’s about 4 miles to the peak, making the hike at least 8 miles round trip. There will be water available to quench your thirst in Cub Creek, though no water near the top.
Come prepared with layers, rain jacket, lunch & snacks, lots of water, sunscreen, and anything else you might require along the way. Throw in a swimming suit and towel for an after hike dip in Spar Lake.
