Preserve Wilderness…

In her March 2nd, 2017 Letter to the Editor in the Sandpoint Reader, Deb Hunsicker, urges community members to “provide some balance in our land use and protect space for those… who want a place of quiet solitude, a place where plants and animals can thrice away from roads and development.”

Clark Fork local, Trish Ganon, wrote a great piece for the March 2017 River Journal supporting Wilderness designation for the Scotchmans.

“Henry David Thoreau…said that ‘In the wildness is the preservation of the world.’ Maybe he was right about that and maybe not, but in the wildness of Scotchman Peaks is, I believe, the preservation of our world.”
