Online Auction: Four Days on Lake Creek with 15 Friends

INShadowPosterThanks to Dale and Patty Myers of In The Shadow of the Cabinets for their generous donation of four nights for up to 16 people in their beautiful and big guest house on Lake Creek in the Bull River Valley of western Montana. Barbecue, fire pits, fishing in creeks and lakes, and lots and lots of nearby wilderness in both the Scotchman Peaks and the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness. This is a lovely place for a family get-together, company retreat or a summer party for friends. Nearby are the majestic Ross Creek Cedars and Kootenai Falls.

You can learn the current bid by reading the comments below. To bid, simply enter your new amount in the comment box at the end of this post. Minimum bid is $400 (retail value is $800-plus). Bidding will conclude on May 26th at 7:00 p.m with the closing of the State of the Sotchmans meeting at Oden Hall near Sandpoint. Funds generated will benefit the FSPW general fund as well as the 2012-13 Wolverine study. Must be used before Thanksgiving 2012. Subject to availability.

In addition to his other duties, he runs the FSPW All Star Trail Team (www.scotchmanpeaks.org/trails), which works on Forest Service trails in the Scotchman Peaks. He is a trail surveyor as well, and a C-Certified Crosscut Bucker/Feller and USFS National Saw Policy OHLEC instructor.

Sandy grew up on a small farm/woodlot at the south end of the proposed wilderness and lives there still. He is also board member of the National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance and a planning team member for the Northern Rockies Wilderness Skills Institute.
