Friends Meet Friends

This week we go on the road!

The Friends of the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge have invited us to make a presentation to their members and public. Call it a “friendly visit”, as the Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness takes our power point show north on a road trip on Thursday March 25th.

Sandy Compton and Phil Hough will talk about the Wilderness potential for the Scotchman Peaks.  We’ll have free newsletters and hiking maps, show some stunning slides and look at the ways in which Wilderness benefits our communities. You will learn more about the flora and fauna of this unique gem and will be sure to enjoy the “armchair journey” into the heart of the Scotchmans.  We’ll hang around and take questions and answers.

So if you are a friend of either group, want to become a friend, or are just interested in finding out more about the Scotchmans, come join us in the education center housed in the restored historic barn at the Refuge’s Headquarters. The presentation starts at 5:30pm and is open to the public, free of charge.
