Hike Description:

Enter winter in Blue Creek. It’s a sort of mild-mannered hike in search of the wild-mannered occupants of the Scotchmans. Or at least their tracks. About six miles round trip on old roads and cross country in the forest between the East and West Forks of Blue Creek. Elevation gain and loss of about 350 feet, probably with lots of snowpack. Depending on snow conditions this hike could be moderately strenuous. Snowshoes advised, though skis will work under the right conditions.
