Hike Description:Join FSPW for a Stream Health educational hike up Regal Creek. Stream health is crucial for maintaining the balance of aquatic ecosystems and the overall well-being of surrounding environments. Healthy streams provide habitats for diverse flora and fauna, support biodiversity, and contribute to clean water sources for human consumption and recreation. We will learn how a healthy stream is maintained along the trail.
Regal Creek is a 4.5-mile round trip with 1,400 feet of elevation gain makes this a perfect hike. Regal Creek has its share of unique features, beginning with a steady climb along an old roadbed, it eventually opens up in a talus field to some great views of Lightning Creek and Bee Top. There is an old mine near the end of the trail. This is a cold aid drainage with lots of cedar and hemlock.
Hike time 9:00am – 2:00pm PT (10:00am – 3:00pm MT)
