Hike Description:

SpottingBirdsCropJoin Brian Baxter on Saturday, October 6th to enjoy a day of meandering through riparian areas in search of autumn birds, wetland plants, animal tracks and sign, and amphibians, reptiles, raptors, and mammals as we pursue a road tour and short hike scenario during cooler fall days.

We begin the day with coffee and tea at the Venture Inn at 8:45 am MST, and will continue from there to examine ponds, interspersed wetland ecosystems, lake shores, and rivers. Birds are active and migrating and wetlands are alive and moving!

Please come with full gas tanks, water, lunch, and hunter safety orange vests for safe viewing. Spotting scopes, binoculars, and cameras are encouraged as autumn views in our area can be stunning! Short hikes are less than one mile round-trip on average and of mild to medium slope.  Kids over 10 years old with sincere interest and adult supervisor welcome, no dogs please! Wrap Up Around 3 pm.
