Most Beautiful Town

Recently, Rand McNally and USA Today recruited five teams to travel to 30 small towns across the country and evaluate them in several categories.  It will come to residents of our area as no surprise that Sandpoint was selected as the “Most Beautiful” small town.

Daniel and JoAnne Schaub described Sandpoint as having a “landscape which kept us in awe”.  Clearly, the setting was as important as the town’s architecture in the award.  With an incredible lake and magnificent mountains, our region is blessed with abundant beauty.

The beauty of the region is what brings in new visitors, new residents and new business; and, it is what keeps folks here whether they are the third generation of pioneers, or recently moved into the neighborhood. We all appreciate living in such a beautiful area.

We owe it to ourselves, our community and our future residents to make sure we preserve part of what makes our area great. The Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness are working to do just that.
