Event Description:

Goat Mountain Trail #35 in the Lightning Creek Treasured Landscape is in shambles; braided, steep and unsustainable. FSPW crews will begin rebuilding the trail with three days of heavy maintenance beginning on the weekend of September 7 and 8 and concluding on National Public Lands Day on September 28. Sign up for one, two or all three. Because of years of deferred maintenance, Trail #35 has the dubious distinction of being the steepest trail in Idaho, and we hope to be able to pass that distinction on to some other trail.

How to get there:

Goat Mountain Trailhead is about 2.5 miles north of Clark Fork on Forest Road #419. We will meet in the Clark Fork High parking lot and carpool from there.
