Community Engagement

Community is the heart of Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness. After all, the reason conservation supporters work to save the wild Scotchmans is so the kids and grandkids in all our lives can enjoy wild places decades from now. FSPW is a grassroots organization fueled by the support and volunteer spirit of North Idaho and Northwest Montana towns.

Hikes

We get people outside and into the Scotchmans all year long. Our free guided hikes are led by volunteers and open to everyone.

Events

We host events in North Idaho and NW Montana to bring people together who love to get outside. Some events are educational and others are simply a celebration of our wild backyard.

Voices in the Wilderness

Voices in the Wilderness is a storytelling project all about exploring wild places. Stories are written by locals and featured regional newspapers.

Podcast | Your Wild Place

Your Wild Place is a podcast that shares stories about our wild backyard. It features local voices and shares stories about mushroom hunting, wildlife advocacy in Montana, and so much more.
