Hike Description:

It is spring!  What better way to ease into our summer hike season than with a breezey stroll through the woods to marvel at north Idaho’s amazing dendrological and botanical diversity. The hike leader will identify nearly all of the north Idaho tree species found in the Scotchman Peaks Wilderness, as well as some of the areas’ common shrub species.  We may cover an entire half mile and gain a dozen or two feet in elevation. (If we visit the beaver pond we might gain 100 ft), so bring a relaxed attitude!  Hike begins at 3PM PST.  Bring a potluck dish for afterwards, and we’ll continue the botanical discussions over dinner!
