Hike Description:This extremely challenging hike also comes with extreme satisfaction when reaching the 7009 foot summit of the highest peak in Bonner county. Normally, this is a 3,700 foot vertical climb in roughly 4 miles, BUT if the trailhead is inaccessible by vehicle, add another 2.5 miles and 500 feet vertical. Any way you slice it, it is a big day. Most do this on snowshoes, but it also very possible (depending on conditions) to do this with alpine touring, telemark or split-board gear. If you are up for a super challenging day, join me for the 13th annual spring Scotchman Peak hike. Only crazies need apply.
