August 20th: Little Spar Creek Trail Project!

Last chance to swing a Pulaski! The final trail project for the summer is August 20th. The last two trail projects have been very successful; lets try and finish the last one with a record number of volunteers! Email Lauren at trails@scotchmanpeaks.org if you’re interested in volunteering!

This project is in cooperation with the Three Rivers District of the Kootenai National Forest. Volunteers will be helping to clear brush and fix tread on the Little Spar Creek Trail. There is work for all ages and physical strengths! Come spend a day in the woods!

We’ll be meeting Saturday morning at the Spar Lake Campground (off of MT Highway 56) at 9:30 a.m. Mountain Time (8:30 Pacific). Highway 56 is 12 miles east of the Montana border (about 47 miles east of Sandpoint). Email Lauren if you need directions.

You’re welcome to camp in the campground Friday night if you’d like. People will be arriving around 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

The Forest Service will provide us with all the tools we’ll need (although if anyone wants to bring their favorite Pulaski feel free).

Please wear good hiking boots/shoes (no sandals please). Also, remember to bring: gloves, eye protection (sunglasses work fine), water, lunch, snacks, rain coat, camera and to dress in layers.

Will be working until about 3:30/4:00 p.m.

Please email or call Lauren if you have any questions.
