Hike Description:

Join FSPW and Carl Rantzow for this 7.5 miles round trip & approximate 4,000 vertical feet snowshoe. It starts from the Lightning Creek road near Clark Fork and climbs to a beautiful corniced ridgeline before reaching the summit of Goat mountain. The views of Scotchman Peak, Lake Pend Oreille & the surrounding mountains is spectacular.

This hike is definitely designed for experienced snowshoers. If you have been looking forward to an epic trip with us this year, this is the hike for you!!

Hike time frame is 8:00am – 3:30pm pacific time

Driving Directions: Take Highway 200 (east from Sandpoint) to Clark Fork. Turn north at the Chevron Station and follow Lightning Creek Road 419. The trail head is about 3 miles in (right after the “grizzly bear” sign) and marked only with a small sign with number 135 and a logo of two hikers. Park, carefully, on the roadside.
