We Invite You to Join Us for The Scotchmans Annual Picnic, June 22nd
The Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness invites you to our annual Sanders County potluck picnic at 4 pm, Sunday June 22th, at the Bull River Campground. This is a fun event that usually draws a really good crowd. As usual, the FSPW will provide drinks and burgers. We will give an update on the status of our proposal, (with a lot of encouraging news!) and provide an opportunity for questions and answers.
The campground is located a mile east of the junction of Hiway 200 and Hiway 56, at the mouth of the Bull River. The event is held rain or shine, thanks to the large covered pavilion at the far end of the campground.
Please invite friends and others who may be interested. Please bring a salad, side dish or dessert if convenient.
Other fun events planned for this summer include:
July 11 – 13 Friday – Sunday A Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act and the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness. This is a camp out with many activities, food, music, beer and some great speakers, held at the beautiful Bull Lake Rod and Gun Club on the shores of Bull Lake. More info soon.
August 23 Saturday Another 50th celebration in Libby, featuring one of the most fun musical events you will ever see – Wiley and the Wild West, a famous big-time cowboy dance band. The event also includes an art show, games, displays and food. http://www.wyliewebsite.com
No RSVP’s required, everybody is welcome and please bring friends. Don’t hesitate to contact doug@scotchmanpeaks.org with questions.
