Other Ways to Give

Charitable Gift Annuities: Through a charitable gift annuity, you can make a gift to Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness and receive a fixed annual income for the rest of your life. This is a great gift option because it offers an immediate tax deduction, a guaranteed annual income, and the knowledge that you are helping to save the Scotchmans.

Charitable Remainder Trusts: By placing assets in a charitable trust, you or your designated beneficiary can enjoy lifetime income from the trust and tax benefits at the same time. Upon termination of the trust, the remainder goes to Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness.

Donor Advised Funds: A donor-advised fund is an investment account for charitable donations. These funds can be invested for tax-free growth. Plus, making a one-time or reoccurring donation to qualifying charities like FSPW is incredibly easy.

Recurring Donations: Give monthly, quarterly, or annually to our endowment fund. This is a great way to give because it’s easy, budgetable, and it helps our staff plan for the future. Plus, you can cancel or change your donation at any time. To set up reoccurring donations, contact us.

A Note for Montana Taxpayers: Montana residents, business owners, and taxpayers receive a generous state tax credit when they make a planned gift in support of the endowment of a tax-deductible organization like FSPW. The credit for individuals is 40% of the value of any gift to a Montana charity endowment. This tax credit can be received up to $10,000 per individual annually. Learn more.
