Falls Creek Recreation Area 10:30am to 12:30pm Montana time (9:30 to 11:30 Idaho time)
Hike Description:Celebrate the New Year with a morning hike around Falls Creek Recreation Area. The gorgeous Falls Creek property is private land that has been generously opened to the public by the owner, with a maintained trail system that is usable by hikers, bikers, and horseback riders. We will skirt along the edge of the property, stop by one of the largest fir trees in the Cabinets, and make our way to stunning Falls Creek Falls where you can still see some of the old mining sluice boxes. If conditions permit this could be a great opportunity to XC Ski or snowshoe. Total distance: approx. 4 miles (mostly flat).
