Contributing to Wilderness Stewardship

There are two major avenues by which to help continue ecological stewardship in the Scotchman Peaks. They are the same by which many good projects in our world get done: money and time. So, there are two things we are asking of those interested in this study: donate and volunteer.

How to Donate

To donate is pretty simple. Click this link and follow the instruction on the page.

If you would rather do it the old-fashioned way, send your check or money order to

How to Volunteer

Volunteering with the FSPW takes many forms. Volunteers assist our studies as hike leaders in the wilderness.   Other Volunteers work in our office in Sandpoint, ID, where they sort through wildlife camera photos and enter data collected from our monitoring stations.

We are putting a special focus on youth this season, and inviting any and all of our volunteers to invite their kids or grandkids or arrange with teachers to bring students into the study.

In addition, we have occasional need of motorized assistance to get volunteers to the edge of the wilderness and access stations that might otherwise not be reached during our short winter days.

If you are interested, we will find a way for you to help!
