MCC Crew assist to Star Peak

July 29, Friends volunteers will assist the Montana Conservation Corp by hauling food and equipment from the end of road to the Star Peak lookout. Volunteers will hike unburdened  (using the new trail as far as possible) to the old Squaw Peak sign, and then take on a load to take to the lookout. MCC is coming to work on the Star Gulch trail July 29 through August 7. They will be camping at Star Peak.

Every pound that FSPW can lift for MCC will be time saved for them to work on the trail in Star Gulch. Hikers will have the option of walking out Star Gulch at the end of the day.
