11,000 Friends for the Wild Scotchmans

The Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness just welcomed our 11.000th Friends – the Viergutz family!

Robert and Tabitha Viergutz and their two boys, Reed and Raecyn, have made Libby, Montana their forever home. Despite being born in Duluth, Robert grew up just outside of Thompson Falls, where his family raised buffalo. There, he spent his days hiking the Cabinets and enjoying the Lolo and Kootenai National Forests. Tabitha grew up exploring the Rocky Mountain range.

As adults we love the wide expanses of the wilderness, the breathtaking landscapes that surround Libby. There are experiences with the wild places that are one of a kind and magical in so many ways.

Robert owns a mining outfit called Snapshot Mining and Milling and Tabitha works as the Libby Community Officer for the LOR Foundation where she works with local individuals and organizations to kick-start projects that benefit rural places in the Mountain West.

FSPW is lucky to have Friends like these that love and support Wilderness in our own backyard.

Thank you to the Viergutz family for joining us to help keep the Scotchmans wild!
