Directions to Trailhead or Meeting Location:
Spar Lake from Asarco Mine Road, Troy, MT Meeting Location: We will met at 7 am Idaho time in Sandpoint at Yokes parking lot. We can meet those coming from the East in Clark Fork or Bull River Highway. We will finish up about 6:00pm Idaho time.
Hike Description:Come welcome spring and the rebirth of plants and trees! Find your inner Equinox GODDESS (and dress up if you like!) Strap on your nordic skis or snowshoes (or hikers depending on the conditions) for a trip into Spar Lake. Round trip distance is about 10 miles; elevation gain less than 1,000 ft. Conditions dictate how long it will take.. there could be deep snow, ice, mud, or packed fast trails! In general: wide trails / snow covered road; lovely trees.
