Directions to Trailhead or Meeting Location:
We will meet along Troy Mine Road at the winter parking before the turn off to Spar Lake at 9:00am MT (8:00am PT) and finish about 4:00pm (MT).
Hike Description:Snowshoe along the road to a frozen Spar Lake to enjoy winter Burgers and hot dogs lakeside. This hike involves a very steady up along 4 to 5 miles one way to the lake. Stunning views of the Cabinet Mountains and Spar Peak are possible. Often used by snowmobiles, it’s a rewarding trek made even better by a grill out by the lake before we head back down. I’ll supply the propane cooktop and food, you just bring your sense of adventure.
