Idaho Gives is the best time to donate

With Scotchman Peaks, Idaho has given us a chance to find our wild place. What would you give in return to make sure it stays open for all?

Fortunately, now is the best time of the year to make a difference with Idaho Gives. And just like previous years, Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness is gearing up for a big day. This year, the event runs for two weeks, heading toward a final day of Thursday, May 7.

Idaho Gives brings the state’s nonprofits together for one day of concentrated fundraising. If there is one day of the year to support your wild backyard, this is it. And that’s because every donation made through Idaho Gives has a chance to earn FSPW additional rewards and bonuses. In previous years, the Friends were lucky enough to earn some of those extras. And every bit extra goes a long way. Take a look at all the available prizes here.

This year, your help is especially valuable. Of course, the ongoing crisis puts the pressure on everyone, so support is even more needed to save wild places. The new FSPW podcast, Your Wild Place, is another reason to participate. A $50 donation sponsors one episode of Your Wild Place, now releasing on a weekly basis, while a $100 donation underwrites two episodes. At $300, your donation supports an entire content theme for Your Wild Place: wildlife, stories, family and community.

How do you participate? It’s simple. Just visit our Idaho Gives page between now and May 7 to place your donation. We’re making progress toward our $2,500, and your donation could make all the difference.
