Rose Olson

Communications & Engagement Manager

Rose grew up in northern Idaho where she learned early on the importance of getting outside every day. The daughter of a forester and a botanist, it was no surprise when she pursued a degree in Environmental Science from University of Idaho.

Before settling in Sandpoint, Rose and her husband Ross spent the better part of a year tracking down the best brown trout fisheries throughout northern Patagonia and New Zealand – literally living in a van down by the river (an early 90’s Honda Odyssey, not a Sprinter…). They have plans to recreate this adventure as soon as the opportunity arises.

An avid outdoor generalist, right now you might find Rose casually birding, mountain biking, gardening, nordic skiing, foraging for wild foods, snowboarding, fly fishing, hiking, or just boppin’ around with her dog – an aussie/border collie who is the most precious creature alive.
