What wilderness gift means the most to you?

Wilderness is a gift. That’s the way we see it at Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness. And we know many supporters of our wild backyard view it the same way. There’s no end to the joys that wilderness brings free of charge, whether it be the hunting and fishing, the berries ready for harvest or the experience of solitude in nature. These are the things wilderness supporters want to save for their kids and grandkids.

This holiday season, we want to highlight some of those specific gifts that the Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness value. Is there a natural resource, experience or recreational opportunity that makes you a wilderness supporter? We want to hear about it! Your stories will be the foundation for a series of blogs, social media posts and advertising celebrating these gifts of wilderness.

It’s easy to share your wilderness stories. Just write a few sentences on what you love most about wilderness and why it matters to you. Then send it our way. One thing is for sure: Your experiences matter. People connect with genuine stories, and yours might be the one that resonates with someone like you.
