We will meet at Clark Fork High School to carpool to the trailhead at 9:00am PT.
Hike Description:Join Phil Hough, FSPW Executive Director for our annual end of season fall hike to the summit of Scotchman Peak. This trail is not long, about 4 miles one way; but it is steep, with almost 4,000 foot vertical elevation gain. The upper slopes hold stunning views and we often see mountain goats. We’ll go slow as an old goat, so all can join. Some years it snows, some years it is downright hot. Be prepared for all kinds of weather and layer up!
Wear sturdy boots, bring snacks, a lunch, and plenty of water or your hydration drink of choice, trekking poles maybe beneficial and bring loads of enthusiasm!!!
Hike time 9:30am – 5:00pm PT (10:30am – 6:00pm MT)
