Join FSPW and Kootenai National Forests trail crews on Star Peak Historic Trail #999 for a single day of trail clearing and tread work. Tools and beverages provided by FSPW. This is the second installment of the the second summer of full-on reconstruction of the historic trail to Star Peak lookout. We have six days of work scheduled for this summer with the goal of completing the new/old tread.
We will carpool to the trailhead, which is 6.5 miles east of the Montana border on Highway 200. Work begins at 9 a.m. Pacific time, 10 a.m. Mountain, with quitting time slated for 3 p.m. Pacific, 4 p.m. Mountain.
As with all trail work days, please wear stout boots and denim pants (no shorts), and come prepared with a long-sleeved shirt, rain gear, a good lunch, water and high-energy snacks. Sign up at trails@scotchmanpeaks.org
